I will be writing about multigenerational families and structural lag. I'm interested in reviewing research on the strain and coercion which takes place between family members who have different ideas and norms based on their age. I have a couple questions which came to mind while thinking about both of these topics. Do older relatives become isolated by younger family members because they have different views? How do multigenerational families deal with different generations who have different beliefs?
